The Gregory Teeners finished the 2024 baseball season as Class B consolation champion at the state tournament in Platte, held August 9-11. After dropping a close game to #2 seed Selby in the first round, #7 seed Gregory entered the consolation bracket, where they went on to beat #3 seed Alexandria and # 5 seed Mt.

Gregory County 4-H held the 2024 Achievement Days at the Burke Rodeo Arena and the Burke Civic Center from Sunday, August 4 - Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Display exhibits were judged on Sunday and available for viewing throughout the duration of Achievement Days. Monday August 5, 2024, kicked off with companion animals (featuring guinea pigs), rabbits, and the poultry show. With over 60 entries in the poultry area, we had an excellent showcase of various breeds. BankWest sponsored and served watermelon before moving into our afternoon shows of meat goats and dairy goats. The evening concluded with the Burke Community Club sponsoring and serving the community meal including pancakes and sausage, cooked by the Burke Fire Department.
