Miss South Dakota, Miranda O’Bryan, will be at the Gregory Public Library on Thursday, April 18, to read her book Jericho, the Journalism Kitty and discuss the importance and joy of reading. Jericho the Journalism Kitty teaches children—and adults—what journalism is through a beautifully illustrated lens, giving a brief overview of the job that provides facts and information to communities throughout the world.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — A beloved giraffe at a zoo in South Dakota has died.

Gregory Reading Olympics was held April 5th, 2024, at the Winner School District. Gregory took 49 kids (10 teams) to the competition and came home with some hardware. Vivian Nguyen has participated all six years.

The Gregory Gorillas had two track meets last week, and Coach Kurt Stukel is pleased with what he saw. “It’s encouraging to see some of the successes that we have had in the past couple track meets,” Stukel said.
