A Note From Cottonwood Corners

The military post, Fort Randall, stood along the west bank of the Missouri River in southeastern Gregory County for thirty-six years and five months between June 1856 and November 1892. During that time, it was one of the most important military posts on the Upper Missouri River and had quarters for five companies.

Four Storm wrestlers head to state wrestling tournament

The Region 3B wrestling tournament was held Saturday, February 17, in Parkston, and three members of the boys team qualified for state, while the team finished ninth overall. Daytona Paris will represent the girls team, having qualified as the #16 wrestler in the state at 132 pounds.

Legacy lives on through annual fund-raiser

Former Gregory School District Principal Mike Dacy was known for his willingness to help others in the area, and his son Tim, along with his friends and many Gregory community members have honored that legacy by holding a fund-raiser each year.
