Reading Olympics competition held in Winner on April 5th

Gregory Reading Olympics was held April 5th, 2024, at the Winner School District. Gregory took 49 kids (10 teams) to the competition and came home with some hardware. Vivian Nguyen has participated all six years.

The Gregory Middle School tracksters competed at Corsica on Thursday, April 11, 2024. Following are the results from the meet.

JV/MS golfers host meet in Gregory

Gregory junior varsity and middle school golfers competed in the Gregory/Burke Tournament on Friday, April 12. Rylan Peck was the top finisher for the boys’ JV team, carding a 46, good for seventh place.

Commentary by Bill Bullard, CEO, R-CALF USA One of the regulatory fights in Washington, D.C., right now is whether independent ranchers will be afforded the protections granted them over 100 years ago when Congress passed the Packers and Stockyards Act of 1921. It should surprise no one that the multinational meatpackers are lined up on one side of the fight – as they are who will be regulated by the Act – and organizations like R-CALF USA on the other – organizations that represent the independent cattle and sheep producers who are to be protected by the Act.
