Council prepares for upcoming summer events

As summer events ramp up, several one-day malt beverage license applications were on the agenda for the regular meeting of the Gregory City Council at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at City Hall. Christensen to serve as parade marshal

Lyle Christensen will lead the July 4th parade as this year’s parade marshal. At the time of his retirement last July, Christensen was the oldest practicing electrician in the state.

Polka Fest fundraiser gets the fun rolling for holiday weekend

If you’re ready to kick off the holiday weekend with a barrel of fun, the Gregory Foundation Polka Fest is the place to do it. The fun will take place at the 4-H building in the Gregory City Park. The concession stand will open at 6:00 p.m., Friday, July 1, serving brats, hot dogs, chips, lemonade, and beer by the cup or by the boot.

Gregory Co. Junior Teeners hold an 9-5-1 record

Gregory Co. 15 - Sanborn 2 Gregory County Junior Teeners scored nine runs in the fourth inning on their way to a 15-2 victory over Sanborn on Thursday, June 16, at home.

Storm slips to 3-8 after tough week of play

South Central Storm 4 - Colome Chaos 14 South Central Storm amateur baseball team watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 14-4 loss to the Colome Chaos on Thursday, June 16, on the road. Colome scored on a double by O’Bryan in the first inning and an error in the second inning.
