The South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) launched a new e-commerce system, Go Outdoors South Dakota. This system combines the purchases of hunting and fishing licenses with state parks camping reservations and other purchases.

The Gregory School District received its first delivery of beef as part of the Beef to School program. The 1500 pounds of ground beef came from donations of cows by Kenzy Family Backgrounding, Reber Ranch, and Graesser Ranch. Wall Meats processed the first cow free of charge; donations from Cenex, and Mr. Automotive and BankWest helped cover the processing costs for the other two. Students enjoyed their first lunch, spaghetti, using locally produced beef on Friday, January 7.

The South Dakota Constitution requires South Dakota circuit court judges be elected in a nonpartisan election for an eight-year term of office. In the November 2022 general election, all current serving circuit court judges in South Dakota, along with any open position(s), will stand for election.

The Sons of the American Legion will be holding their monthly meeting on Thursday, January 20th, at the Legion Post in Gregory. The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. and all members and potential members are encouraged to attend.
