    SDDOH issues new fish consumption advisories

    The South Dakota Department of Health (DOH), in partnership with the Department of Agriculture & Natural Resources (DANR) and Game, Fish & Parks (GFP), has completed its annual fish collection and sampling program. This joint effort aims to assess the safety of fish consumption in various water bodies across the state.

    Agencies seek public comment on draft agreement in South Dakota

    The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT), in collaboration with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is seeking public comment on the draft 2026 Section 106 Programmatic Agreement (PA) for the Federal Aid Highway Program in South Dakota. The agreement includes the FHWA, the South Dakota State Historic Preservation Officer, the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation, and the SDDOT. When finalized, the 2026 Section 106 PA will replace the 2020 Section 106 PA, which officially expires on Aug. 13, 2026.

    Attorney General Jackley releases 2025 Crime in South Dakota Report

    South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announces that the overall number of reported criminal offenses statewide in 2025 decreased by 6.03 percent compared to 2024. The Crime in South Dakota 2025 Report includes 64,261 criminal offenses in 2025 compared to 68,388 in 2024.
