    Registration now open for the 2026 Cattlemen’s Education Day

    The South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association (SDCA), in partnership with South Dakota State University (SDSU), will be hosting Cattlemen’s Education Day on February 19, 2026, in Brookings, S.D. The event brings together industry leaders, educators and cattle producers for a day of learning and connecting.

    DWU to offer online RN to BSN program

    Working registered nurses (RN) will have another option for attaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Dakota Wesleyan University is launching a fully online program to accommodate working nurses who are looking to expand their skills and find more career opportunities.

    SD Association Of Towns & Townships offers scholarships for 2026 high school seniors

    SDATAT is offering one $1500, one $1000, and one $500 scholarship to three senior high school students who reside in South Dakota, are currently attending a South Dakota public, private, or parochial high school or a home school program and live in a small town or township that is a current member of SDATAT. (A membership list is available on the sdtownships.com website) or contact your local town/township board. Graduates of the class of 2026 are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The student must use the scholarship for a college, university, or vocational school which has a physical presence in South Dakota.

    State Historical Society holding preservation essay contest

    The State Historic Preservation Office of the South Dakota State Historical Society is holding an essay contest. Prizes will be awarded to the top three essays during Archaeology and Historic Preservation Month, which is celebrated in May.
