The Food and Drug Administration posted a news release on its website stating that a recall for some of Dakota Honey’s fourounce and 12-ounce containers sold between Dec. 19, 2025 and April 3, 2026, was issued on April 4. The honey was sold in South Dakota, Florida, and Georgia as well as nationwide through internet sales.

Burke, S.D., May 18, 2026 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) in Gregory County is accepting applications for the Emergency Conservation Program to address damages from the ongoing drought. ECP provides cost-share and technical assistance to producers to restore farmland to pre-disaster conditions following a qualifying natural disaster. ECP signup begins on May 18, 2026, and ends on June 17, 2026.

South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden has proclaimed May as Archaeology & Historic Preservation Month in South Dakota.
