On October 25, local interpreters performed their pieces to determine who would represent Gregory at districts. After listening to 20 pieces, the judges narrowed it down to seven, and the top piece in each of the seven categories moved on to districts.

The Sons of the American Legion will be holding their monthly meeting on Thursday, November 17, at the Legion Post in Gregory. The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. and all members and potential members are encouraged to attend.

The Missouri River, from its source in the Rocky Mountains to its junction with the Mississippi, is 2,963 miles long. Of this, 547 miles pass over South Dakota, from the mouth of the Sioux River in the far southeast corner of the state to the northern border in central South Dakota.

First Fidelity Bank and the Gregory Community Foundation are looking for non-profit groups that have a project that needs funding. For a project to be considered, a group needs only to complete an application describing what their project entails. An application form can be picked up at First Fidelity Bank, or request an application from kybs22@yahoo. com. Grants will be given for community projects but not for operation budgets.
