County employees now allowed to add dependents to health

The regular meeting of the Gregory County Board of Commissioners was held at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at the Gregory County Courthouse. E-911 service contract is renewed The board agreed to continue contracting E-911 and PSAP (public safety answering point) services with the City of Winner.

South Dakota Medical Cannabis Program issues first patients cards

In accordance with SDCL 34-20G and the unwavering commitment of Governor Noem and the South Dakota Department of Health to deliver a safe and responsible medical cannabis program, the first medical cannabis patient cards were printed and issued on Thursday, November 18. The first card issued went to a resident of Day County. Following its issuance, the following statement was released:

Gregory Co. 4-H hosts recognition event

Gregory County 4-H held their annual 2020-2021 Recognition Night on Sunday, November 7, at the Bonesteel Community Room. The evening kicked off with a potluck, followed by the awards ceremony. Emcees for the event were Patience Swift & Hailey Haiar, as well as 4-H Youth Advisor, Laura Kahler. 4-H registered volunteers were recognized for their efforts and hard work.

SD Stockgrowers raffle Silencer chute

The South Dakota Stockgrowers Association has ended their 2021 fundraiser of raffling a Silencer hydraulic squeeze chute. This year’s lucky winner is Treg Gruhn of Dallas, SD, with the winning ticket being sold by George Kenzy, District 14 Director.
