FFA does well in first ever competition

The Gregory County FFA chapter competed in their first leadership development event (LDE) Monday, November 15, and came home with 4th place in Ag broadcasting – Kaydence Klein, 4th place in extemporaneous speaking – Corbin Rolf, 4th place in Ag sales team, and 2nd place in employment skills – Taylor Even. Kaydence and Corbin will be alternates for state, while Taylor will have the opportunity to attend state in December. Eleven members from the Gregory County chapter attended.

Gregory Oral Interp. team wins team trophy at Districts

On November 1, 2021, the Gregory Oral Interpretation team traveled to Oacoma to participate in districts. Six schools competed with Gregory taking home the team trophy, and everyone moving on to regions.

SD joins litigation against OSHA vaccine mandates

On Friday, following Governor Noem’s promise to “see [President Biden] in court,” the State of South Dakota joined a lawsuit against the OSHA COVID vaccine mandate issued by the Biden Administration. The lawsuit was filed in the 8th Circuit. On Thursday, Governor Noem posted a video explaining the move on YouTube.

How full is your bucket?

Maybe you have read the children’s book, “How Full Is Your Bucket?,” written by Tom Rath and Mary Reckmeyer. It provides a great visual for children to assess how they feel and how their feelings also affect and impact others around them.
