GHS holds annual oral interpretation contest

The annual local oral interpretation contest was held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at the Gregory High School. This year 20 students competed for a spot on the team that will be competing at districts. The top entry in each of the seven categories moves on to districts.

The Gorillas cross country team participated in the state “B” cross country meet on October 23, 2021, at the Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls. Gregory had five girls qualify for the state meet, after qualifying the team by claiming the region runner-up title.

Thursday night the Gorillas hosted a first round playoff game against their neighbors the South Central Cougars. Both teams finished the regular season 5-3, but power-point calculations ranked the Gorillas sixth and the Cougars 11 in class 9A. The teams met in week three of the regular season and the victory went to the Gorillas by a score of 34-6.

Fairfax haunted house supports fire & ambulance

The B/F Community Club Haunted House will take place at the Fairfax Hall this Friday and Saturday, and it is slated to WOW! Movie quality props were generously donated to the project and up the scare factor immensely. 300+ hours were put into this wellthought-out maze of spook, which takes about 20 minutes to complete, by the way.
