Four GHS students were selected to be a part of the All-State Chorus

Four Gregory students will have the opportunity to be part of All-State Chorus in Rapid City on October 29-30. Katherine Stevicks, Jordan Spann, Christian Spann, and Eli Barreto were selected to be part of the nearly 1,000 person choir.

Amy Berg makes big city service available in Gregory

Amy Berg is the proprietor of a new business in town, Beau Casse’, The Sculpted Body. At Beau Casse’, which means “beautifully broken,” Berg uses Cryo 21 equipment to offer treatment for pain and inflammation, toning and tightening, cryolipolysis (fat termination), and cryo-rejuvenating facials.

Office of equalization deals with constraints of only one employee

The regular meeting of the Gregory County Board of Commissioners was held at 9:00 1.m., Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at the Gregory County courthouse in Burke. Travelers get approval Travel requests were reviewed and approved for John Jensen and DeWayne Bennett to attend the County Weed and Pest District meeting in Pierre on October 27 and for Brad Ellwanger’s trip to Sioux Falls on October 20-21 for the Local Roads Conference.

Halloween arrives this week

Although Halloween will finally arrive on Sunday, trick or treating opportunities began on Tuesday evening with Avera Rosebud Country Care Center’s Door-to-Door Adventure and the Chamber of Commerce’s Trunk or Treat. Silver Threads has saved their treating fun for the actual date of Halloween, Sunday evening from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Gorillas end regular season with big win over Bon Homme, play-offs begin Thurs.

The Gregory Gorillas extended their season record to 5-3 Friday evening with a 42-12 win against Bon Homme. The win, coupled with a win by the Burke Cougars, secured a home field advantage for Gregory against the Cougars in the first round of 9A football playoffs at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 21, at Mike Dacy Field.
