The Gregory School District hosted a pep rally on Friday, October 8, in honor of Homecoming at the four way stop on Gregory’s Main Street. Elementary, middle and high school students attended as well as the marching band with cheerleaders leading the rally.

On October 4, Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg joined a bipartisan coalition of 52 attorneys general expressing strong support for the hearings being conducted by the U.S. Senate Committee addressing protection and safety of kids and teens using social media.

Child sexual abuse is “a silent epidemic,” according to the American Medical Association. It is so widespread that each of us probably knows someone who has been victimized or who has abused. Yet the topic of sexual abuse can feel uncomfortable and because of our discomfort we are quiet. Child sexual abuse is often a well-kept secret.

Kelsie Holmberg of Kelsie’s Klaws will now be in Gregory at Shear Creations three days a week to do nails. Holberg is a 2004 graduate of Gregory High School and daughter of Dean Holmberg and Shana and Sam Flakus.
