First Day of School for the Gregory students is Wednesday, August 25!

Finley Frasch, daughter of Sarah and Jason Frasch, is very excited to start begindergarten with teacher Jana Winters. Students and parents were invited to an open house held on Monday, August 23 to meet their teacher and drop off supplies so they are ready for the first day of school.

Gorilla football team to start season with new head coach

After nine years as an assistant coach for the Gregory Gorillas football team, Mike Murray has stepped into the head coach position. Murray had plenty of time to study under two very successful coaches, Brian Allmendinger, who coached the Gorillas to state championships in 2014, 2016, and 2017, and John King, who took the team as far as the semi-final game in the state tournament in 2019.

South Dakota Ag Foundation now accepting grant applications

The South Dakota Ag Foundation (SDAF) is accepting applications for the Ag Innovators (AI) grant and the Building Rural Communities (BRC) grant. The SDAF Ag Innovators grant is available to applicants who wish to address the need of today’s changing ag education and complex challenges that require new thinking and approaches.

Gregory County 4-H Achievement Day results announced

Gregory County 4-H Achievement Days 2021 kicked off on Monday, August 9th with Consumer Decision Making which helps youth by matching knowledge, skills and abilities. They learn to rank items based on standards and quality. Following that event, was the Cloverbud small animal show, poultry show and showmanship, rabbit show and showmanship, interview judging and the dog show.
