The South Dakota Ag Foundation (SDAF) is accepting applications for the Ag Innovators (AI) grant and the Building Rural Communities (BRC) grant. The SDAF Ag Innovators grant is available to applicants who wish to address the need of today’s changing ag education and complex challenges that require new thinking and approaches.

Gregory County 4-H Achievement Days 2021 kicked off on Monday, August 9th with Consumer Decision Making which helps youth by matching knowledge, skills and abilities. They learn to rank items based on standards and quality. Following that event, was the Cloverbud small animal show, poultry show and showmanship, rabbit show and showmanship, interview judging and the dog show.

The Gregory Police Department and Avera Gregory Trauma Department teamed up again last week for a pool party cook-out. While grillmasters Police Chief Doug Catts and Officer Tom Grove cooked and served burgers, hot dogs, and good will just east of the Gregory swimming pool as part of their community policing efforts, Avera Gregory’s trauma department provided the food and used the event to talk to kids about water safety.
