South Central Storm snatched the lead late in the game in a 10-6 victory over the Gold Sox on Saturday, July 24, in the postseason league tournament. The game was tied at six with the Storm batting in the bottom of the eighth when Blake Boes homered on a 1-2 count, scoring three runs.

Central Storm took the lead late and defeated Kimball White Lake 10-8 on Sunday, July 25, to punch their ticket to the state tournament and move on to the Pony Hills league championship game. The game was tied at five with the Storm batting in the top of the sixth when Christian Schweigert singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

South Central Storm weathered a scare by Wessington Springs Owls in the seventh inning where the Storm coughed up four runs, but still won 9-5 on Monday, July 19. In the top of the second inning, Wessington Springs tied things up at one.
