The United States Secretary of Agriculture recently announced that all the meat purchased by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) must be meat from animals born, raised, and slaughtered in the United States. In other words, the AMS will only buy meat that is exclusively U.S. meat produced exclusively in the United States.

There is one day that is ours. There is one day when all Americans go back to the old home and eat a big dinner.

The Gregory County FFA Chapter officers, Aubree Miller, reporter, and Nick Kenzy, president, received a donation from Dr. Gary Straight from Gregory Animal Clinic. The clinic is enrolled in a Zoetis program where a portion of all products sold are donated back to the local FFA chapter. Funds are used to help students attend events like National FFA Convention, Black Hills Stock Show, and Leadership Retreat. They appreciate Dr. Gary Straight for participating in this program, as well as customers that purchase the products.

Maybe your family doesn’t like turkey, or maybe a turkey is just too much for you and your spouse. Whatever the reason, some people don’t want to cook a turkey for their Thanksgiving dinner. The following are some ideas for alternatives to the symbolic turkey.
