The Gregory High School cheer and dance team competed against some of the state’s biggest schools in Harrisburg on Saturday, September 23. While the team placings weren’t very high, Coach Lenna Braun was pleased with the team’s scores.

The Gregory High School volleyball team chalked up a win and a loss last week on the road. On Tuesday, September 19, the team beat the Todd County Lady Falcons in three games.

We continue the conversation about those who occasionally think about what their life might have been like had they made different choices. It’s true that if we had decided to make other choices our lives would be different, but what most people fail to consider is that we would be the same person. A painful reality is the reason why people are not satisfied is because they are not happy with themselves. We might like the idea of changing everything around us, but what about the need to be personally transformed by the renewing of our minds. If we sincerely prayed and asked God to change who we are, we would not be fantasizing about how great things would be if we could do it all over again. We have all made mistakes, but it’s God that helps us to become the person He died for us to be. If we do not have His peace and contentment in the life we have now, we would not have it in any life we could dream of.

This week, September 25-29, Lt. Governor Larry Rhoden and Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (DANR) Secretary Hunter Roberts are leading a trade delegation to Mexico to participate in meetings with Mexican buyers, agricultural industry leaders, and government officials to enhance South Dakota’s trading relationships with Mexico. The trade mission is organized by South Dakota Trade.

EAGLE PASS, T.X. – Governor Kristi Noem inspected the warzone at the Southern border and received a briefing from the South Dakota National Guard. Fifty South Dakota soldiers are deployed on state active duty as part of Texas’ Operation Lone Star.
