Gregory Lions Club donates to Gregory Legion to help with improvements

The Gregory Lions Club, represented by Lorraine Hlavka, l, and Roberta Spann, r, donated $1,000 to the Gregory American Legion. Gregory Smith, center, Legion commander, said that the money will go toward continuing improvements at the Legion Club. They recently installed new equipment in the kitchen and plan to use this money toward a refrigerated double drawer and LED lighting upgrades in the dining room.

SDSU women’s choir performs in Gregory

The South Dakota State University’s Choralia, or women’s choir), of which 2021 Gregory High School graduate Keeley Klein is a part, started their spring tour in Gregory at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2022, in the Gregory school gym. (Keeley is in the back row, sixth from the left.)

Gregory 6-12 band students perform at band concert

The grades 6-12 band concert was held Monday evening, May 2, at Gregory Memorial Auditorium. Originally slated to take place at the park, the concert had to be moved indoors, as it has every year since the idea was hatched, because of weather issues.

The days go slow, but the years go fast

When you first have children, you learn about the challenges of parenting — the struggles of a baby waking in the night, the toddler who won’t stay in their bed, the cost of childcare, injuries from sports, having to take off work to pick them up from school when they don’t feel well, helping them with homework, a messy house, the never-ending laundry, the cost of buying school clothes, packing their lunches.
