The regular meeting of the Gregory City Council was held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, March 21, 2022, at City Hall. The meeting began with a moment of silent prayer for Councilman Seymour Studenberg, who is in the hospital, and for the war in Ukraine.

This year’s career fair was expanded to include booths for nine universities and technical schools. In addition to area students, adults were invited to visit the booths during the noon hour.

Mollie Andrews grew up on her family’s ranch north of Bonesteel, graduated from Burke High School, and loved it so much that she and her husband made it their goal to move back to raise their children.

A bill that provides immunity for campground owners whose guests encounter the inherent risks of outdoor camping is headed for the governor’s desk. Both chambers of the South Dakota Legislature have approved the bill that cuts the risk of lawsuits for campground owners who say they’ve been sued for acts of nature beyond their control.

Governor Kristi Noem signed Senate Bill 135 into law on March 2, paving the way for increased agritourism activities in South Dakota. “Agritourism is a developing and growing niche activity in our state that brings together the two most powerful industries in South Dakota: agriculture and tourism,” said James Hagen, secretary of the Department of Tourism.

Our spiritual understanding about who God is and who we are in Him must become more than a hope or a chance of fate. Having a personal relationship with Him is based on knowing that we have been purchased with the blood that Jesus shed on the cross and receiving His grace that transforms us.
