Storm wrestlers bring home a championship title

In a field of 14 teams, the Burke/ Gregory Storm came out on top at the Stanley County Invitational wrestling tournament on Saturday, December 4, 2021. With a total of 173 points, the Storm wrestlers outdistanced Lyman’s 142.5 points, Bennett County’s 104 points, and Ipswich/Bowdle’s 78.5.

AGCO names Burke Stampede Rodeo committee 2021 Sowing Good Deeds Winner

Omicron? Come on, man!

By the time you read this little article, when the news will be clearer than it is at the time that I am writing this on November 30. Once again, we are faced with yet another variant of COVID - this one being called Omicron. I wonder how the Greeks feel about the world using letters from their alphabet to name these variants. It seems a bit unpleasant, and I don’t think I would like it if I was Greek.

Where did everybody go?

Since 2015, the cattle market has been in seriously tough shape. The producer share of the retail dollar has fallen from over 50% to about 37% in that time. We have clearly seen cattle and beef prices diverge. Consumers have seen empty shelves.

Dig Pink proceeds were donated

The Dig Pink event, held in Gregory on October 14, 2021, raised $3,405.46 for the Ministerial Association and $3,405.47 for the Gregory Co. Hope Society..
