Thanksgiving is an American holiday with food traditions that vary from geographic region to geographic region, from one ethnic background to another, and from family to family. While the following recipes aren’t way outside of any traditional dishes, they do provide a slightly different take on some perennial favorites.

Beware of spam calls

Rachele Lyons received a phone call that showed up on her caller ID as “Gregory County Sheriff Department.” Thinking nothing of it, she answered the call. The person on the other end identified himself as Deputy Allen Harper and confirmed Lyons’ address before telling her that he had a warrant for her arrest.

Plans for the DEX: Dakota Events CompleX are taking shape following the groundbreaking held on Thursday, September 2 during the 2021 SD State Fair. The DEX is the new multipurpose livestock and equestrian facility replacing the Open Class Beef Complex destroyed by fire just one year ago.
