Living with pain

The Journal of the American Medical Association reports one in five adults live with chronic pain, and a total of approximately 8% live with high impact pain. If you fall in this category you are not alone. Your thoughts and your questions might sound something like this: “How do I cope? This is controlling my life and negatively impacting my relationships. Most of all, I never feel good physically or mentally. It is difficult to feel good about life. Close friends and family members get frustrated with me and question if my pain is real since I look fine!”

Mandatory 10-digit dialing set to begin in South Dakota

Beginning on April 24, South Dakotans are encouraged to start using 10-digit dialing (605 area code + phone number) to make all local phone calls. This transition is a necessary first step in the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) move to establish 988 as a new three-digit dialing code for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and will be required beginning as early as October 24, 2021, and no later than July 15, 2022, depending on your telephone provider.

SDDOT reminds citizens that interstate hay permits are now available

The South Dakota Department of Transportation reminds people that Interstate Highway Right-of-Way Mowing Permits are available for land that abuts Interstate 90 or Interstate 29. Landowners or tenants of land abutting I-90 or I-29 are eligible to apply for Interstate Highway Right-of-Way Mowing Permits.

Wanblee Mart has been sold to RF Buche

The Wanblee Mart has been sold to RF Buche, who owns a small chain of Buche Foods and Gus Stop Convenience Stores. Buche will take over on April 28th, 2021. “The store will be closed on the 28th for inventory, team member orientations and other misc. tasks so our customers are not inconvenienced. However, the store will open back up on Thursday, April 29th for ordinary business and we look forward to meeting our customers,” said RF Buche.
