GHS students to perform “Crumpled Classics”

Gregory High School students have been hard at work getting ready for their production of “Crumpled Classics.” They will perform the play three evenings, Thursday through Saturday, at 7:00 p.m., at Dixon Townhall Theater. The play is under the direction of Kayla Begeman and Kristi Ring.

Avera Gregory to move ahead with new health campus

After a delay due to COVID-19, Avera and Avera Gregory Hospital leaders are moving forward with plans to build a new hospital, clinic and long-term care center on 20 acres of land east of Gregory on U.S. Highway 18.

Ron and Peg Wendell retire from NAPA

The Gregory NAPA store has been in the Wendell family for 54 years, but the time has come for Ron and Peg Wendell to pass that baton on to someone else. Martin Tilton started the parts store, and Ron’s father, Delbert, purchased it from him about a year and a half later and rented the building.

Gregory tracksters begin their season at the SCC meet in Platte/Geddes

The Gregory Middle and High School track athletes competed for the first time of the season at the South Central Conference meet hosted by Platte/Geddes on April 6, 2021. The teams in the SCC are: Andes Central/Dakota Christian, Burke, Colome, Gregory, Kimball/White Lake, and Platte/Geddes.

Daniel Mitchell selected to third team All-State

Daniel Mitchell was selected to the Class B Boys Third-Team All State basketball team in 2021 by the South Dakota Basketball Coaches Association. Daniel averaged 26.4 points per game and 11.6 rebounds per game as a freshman for the Gorillas.
