    Rumford back for all the Fun at the Burke Stampede Rodeo

    The Burke Stampede Rodeo Committee is thrilled to bring the now 10 time PRCA Rodeo Clown of the year Justin Rumford, to The Burke Stampede’s 36th edition. That’s right, the funniest guy in rodeo, affectionately called “Rump”, is coming back to entertain crowds on Friday, July 17, Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19, at the Burke Stampede Rodeo, all starting at 7:30 p.m., at the Stampede Arena, Burke, SD.

    More than fireworks: Celebrating America’s 250th

    There is a buzz in the air. There always is at this time of year. There’s baseball, softball, camping, and all kinds of activities. There’s also preparations for the 4th of July. It seems like everyone is planning something. Adults are talking about snacks, meals, parades, or the organizations they will be helping out over the holiday. Kids on the other hand, are talking about fireworks, which ride they will go on first, and how much candy they will get at the parade.

    Gregory 8U claims league tournament championship

    The Gregory 8U softball team captured the league tournament championship on Saturday, capping off an impressive season. Gregory opened the tournament with a 13-4 victory over Clearfield before defeating Winner Gold 11-5 in the semifinals. In a thrilling championship game, Gregory edged Lyman 8-7 to claim the title, avenging its only regular-season loss. Gregory entered the tournament with a 10-1 league record, with the lone defeat coming against Lyman.
