Kenneth and Bonnie Endes

A celebration of life for Kenneth and Bonnie Endes was held on October 1, 2022, in Bakersfield, CA. Kenneth Taylor Endes was born on April 1, 1938, to Theodore Edwin Endes and Julia Catherine (Rose) Endes in Mills, NE. Kenneth was the first child, followed by six siblings: Seldon Endes, Lester Endes, Judith Wilson, Danny Endes, Cathy Hood, and David Endes. Bonnie Ilene Endes was born on February 1, 1941, to William Fred and Dorthy Alta (Dunn) Schrader in Brocksburg, NE.

Funeral services for Letha Osburn were held on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Winner United Methodist Church in Winner, SD.

Carroll Bruun

A celebration of life for Carroll Bruun was held on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Winner United Methodist Church in Winner, SD. Mason Funeral Home of Winner, SD, was in charge of arrangements. Carroll Helmer Bruun was born on February 11, 1938, to Helmer and Mae (Nelson) Bruun. Helmer came to America from Tarm, Denmark, and met Mae, who was from Reliance, SD. Carroll was born in Colome, SD, and was baptized September 21, 1941, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Dallas, SD. He grew up on the family farm southwest of Dallas with two sisters, Ginny and Marlene. Carroll started school at Lincoln Country School. He graduated from Gregory High School in 1955. During his high school years, he lived with the Hoffie family in Gregory while working at Louie’s Grocery. Highlights of this time were playing American Legion baseball and winning backto- back state championships in 1954 and 1955. Carroll was a pitcher and center fielder.

Regina Larson

A memorial service for Regina Larson will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2022. Gill Brothers Funeral Service & Cremation, of Bloomington, MN is in charge of arrangements. She was born March 18, 1948, at Valentine, NE, to Stephen and Ruth (Harper) Borszich, the youngest of four children. She spent her first years at Lakeview, SD, then moved with her family to Gregory, SD. She attended all 12 years of school there. During her high school years, Gina ran track, played basketball, played drums in the band, sang in the choir and small groups, joined many clubs, and went to Girls State, and was a yearbook editor. Gina attended the University of South Dakota and graduated with a business degree in 1970, earning her master’s later. She worked as a court reporting teacher at Rasmussen Business College and Minnesota School of Business until retirement. In 1974, she married Raymond Larson at Yankton, SD. They lived in Richfield, MN, then moved to Bloomington, MN, where they lived until her passing. Gina and Ray were married for 48 years.

Mary Fuhrer

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Fuhrer was held on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Butte, NE, with Father Bernard Starman officiating. Tracy Poches was lector, and Calvin Kelly was the eucharistic minister. Interment was in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Naper, NE. Clausen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Jason Berg, Rodrick Thompson, Travis Koenig, Justin Koenig, Joshua Koenig, Luke Koenig, Lance Koenig, Matthew Fuhrer, and Dustin Eide. Honorary casket bearers were all of Mary’s grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Gloria Rolf

Cremation with private services for Gloria Rolf will be held at the Johnstown Cemetery. Gloria was born November 18, 1944 in Burke, SD, to Erhard E. and Esther O. (Fuhrman) Frasch, where she grew up and graduated from high school in 1962. Gloria married Lawrence F. Rolf on July 29, 1962, in Herrick, SD, and they later moved to Johnstown, CO, where she operated her in-home day care for 40 years. She enjoyed walking, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, baking, cooking and yoga. Gloria J. Rolf, 77, of Loveland, CO, formerly of Johnstown, CO, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at McKee Medical Center.

JoAnn Ahlman

Funeral services for JoAnn Ahlman were held on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Winner, SD. Burial was in the Colome City Cemetery in Colome, SD. Mason Funeral Home in Winner, SD was in charge of arrangements. JoAnn Harter Ahlman was born on October 10, 1932, to Glen and Laura Josephine (Cramlett) Harter. As a young girl, she enjoyed reading, getting into mischief with her brothers and sisters, playing with cousins and close friends, and attending school. She fondly wrote of her love for hot chocolate and tomato soup, putting bridles on cattle to ride when her parents were gone, and wading in a nearby creek.

Funeral services for Barbara Wentz were held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Naper, NE, with Reverend Samuel Crass officiating. Music was provided by Lisa Reiman, organist. Sharon Neuharth was in charge of registraion. Casket bearers were Allen Bentz, Darrell Bentz, Todd Stoltenberg, Gary Stoltenberg, Keith Stoltenberg, and Brett Wentz. Honorary casket bearers were all of Barb’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Interment was in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Naper, NE. Clausen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Barbara Ann (Stoltenberg) Wentz was born January 29, 1942, to Frank and Theresa (Derner) Stoltenberg at the family farm in Naper, NE. Barb gained her wings on October 12, 2022, at the Butte Healthcare Center in Butte, NE, at the age of 80 years.
