Public meeting to be held for water and wastewater project

The City of Gregory is planning to make comprehensive improvements to its water and wastewater systems and seeks input from the residents of Gregory. The project involves a comprehensive plan with several alternatives to upgrade the City of Gregory’s water and wastewater systems. Improvements to the Wastewater Collection and Treatment System include:

The fence around the Gregory Daycare might look like an ordinary chain-link fence to most people, but to South Dakota artist Cary Thrall it looks like a canvas. Through Thrall’s project, Linking Fences, 11 communities throughout the Black Hills and central South Dakota now have artwork fences.

2021-22 school board covers a lot of ground in first meeting

The regular meeting of the Gregory School District Board of Education was held at noon, Thursday, July 8, 2021, in the conference room at the high school. Storm repairs to roof still on hold Chad VanLaecken broke the news to the board that the roof damage from last August’s storm will likely not be repaired this summer.

Commissioners declare drought disaster Because of the extremely dry conditions leading up to the meeting, the board declared a drought disaster.

City council hires Josey Larson as new Public Works Superintendent

The regular meeting of the Gregory City Council was held at City Hall at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 6, a day later than usual because of the July 5 federal holiday. Gregory drawing lots of interest from law enforcement candidates The Fourth of July holiday went well with minimal issues according to Officer Tom Groves.
