401(k) limit increases to $23,500 for 2025, IRA limit remains $7,000

The Internal Revenue Service recently announced that the amount individuals can contribute to their 401(k) plans in 2025 has increased to $23,500, up from $23,000 for 2024. The IRS today also issued technical guidance regarding all cost‑of‑living adjustments affecting dollar limitations for pension plans and other retirement-related items for tax year 2025 in Notice 2024-80, posted today on IRS.gov.

In bygone days, Veterans Day was celebrated in Gregory with a parade, a meal at the Legion, and a dance. Many years, the veterans of specific wars would congregate to swap war stories and recall shared memories. In the beginning, those stories often involved a particular soldier from Gregory—PFC Alfred Hutchison—as the men gathered in the building of the Post named in his honor.

The regular meeting of the Gregory City Council was held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, November 4, 2024. Alley problem solved with no action taken Several residents were in attendance at the meeting to learn about the latest development regarding the alley in Gregory Heights Addition.
