Travel is smooth sailing on Gregory’s resurfaced streets

At the regular meeting of the Gregory City Council, held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2024, Public Works Superintendent Josey Larsen reported that the streets that were resurfaced this summer are done, and he is pleased with how they turned out. He indicated that the rock pile at the athletic field would be moved soon. Mayor Al Cerny said he would like to do more streets next summer. Next on the department’s list to tackle is tree trimming.

At the regular meeting of the Gregory County Board of Commissioners, held at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2024, Commissioners Jessy Biggins, Doug Janousek, and Lance Matucha stated that they had communicated with individuals regarding County Road 57 (Williams Bottom) when asked about ex parte communications.

Radant/Ziegler earn first place in Gregory’s golf tournament

Twenty-three two-person golf teams teed up at the Gregory Golf Course last Saturday for a tournament sponsored by Charlie Johnson and associates. It was a beautiful day for golfing, hunting for plastic eggs, and finding the rubber snakes, compliments of Nikki Johnson and Jessica Calhoon.

Gregory’s competitive cheer & dance team ready for a new season

The 2024 competitive cheer & dance season officially started on August 5, 2024. This past spring we had tryouts for sideline cheer and went into the summer with 15 girls attending skill building classes at Get Fit w/Jenny and open gyms.
