The Social Security Administration (SSA) today announced a first-of-its-kind commemorative Social Security card for children born in the United States between July 2 and December 31, 2026, celebrating the 250th anniversary of American independence. The limited-edition cards, identical in function to a standard Social Security card, will feature the official Freedom 250 logo in black ink, marking the recipient’s birth during the nation’s 250th year.

Mark Vedral recalls the days when the team changed at the auditorium, then followed the fire truck down the road to the field. “Imagine a small army of football players walking down the road, and all you hear is the sound of their cleats, tapping the ground,” Mark Vedral recalls. “We would walk onto the field and the other team would always be staring, unnerved.”

On Monday, June 29, and Tuesday, June 30, 2026, the Gregory High School volleyball team hosted the Spikers youth volleyball camp in Gregory, SD. Spikers par-ticipated in some light conditioning, and learned basic volleyball skills through playing with balloons, beach balls, and regular volleyballs.
