Rosebud Avenue had to be closed between 5th and 6th Streets Tuesday morning, July 19. This building, the former storage quonset for Karl’s TV & Appliances, that Eugene Brumbaugh recently purchased, made a valiant effort to begin the next stage of its life in a new location, but perished along the way. The street remained closed until the remains of the building could be moved to its final resting place.

Duck hunters again must choose between two daily bag limits when they register for their Harvest Information Program number this year. Nebraska and South Dakota are entering the second year of a “twotier” program for the regular duck season.

South Central Storm 11 - Chamberlain Mallards 13 South Central Storm fought back after falling down by five runs in the sixth inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 13-11 defeat to the Mallards on Thursday, July 14, in Chamberlain.

The 53rd annual Winner Elks Rodeo benefit for children’s outreach services at LifeScape is Friday, July 22, through Sunday, July 24.
