4-H hosts summer programs May 18-20

Gregory County 4-H kicked off Summer Discovery Sessions with summer snacks on Monday, May 17. This workshop was split into two age groups, and both were full workshops. The children learned how to make simple nutritious snacks using basic ingredients found in most kitchens. After the demonstration, they were each given a small recipe book. They had the opportunity to create their own silly snack following the recipe. Summer Assistant Rose Wolf said, “It was a wonderful time watching the youth experience the joy found in the kitchen.”

Gregory eighth graders graduate from middle school and recognized for academic achievements

A graduation ceremony was held for the Gregory Class of 2025, on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. SD Farmers Union to host camp at the Gregory City Park

South Dakota Farmers Union is hosting “Cooperation: Celebrate the Connections” day camp for ages 5-12 years. Camp will be held at the Gregory City Park from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on June 8, 2021.

Ziady headed to Boys State

Daniel Ziady, son of Erin Soesbe and Jeremy Ziady, is headed to Boys State. He is brother to Adrianna, Lyndsee, Liam, and Hailea.

May is Beef Month in SD

Governor Kristi Noem has officially proclaimed May as Beef Month in South Dakota. The South Dakota Beef Industry Council believes this is the perfect time to highlight all our hardworking beef farmers and ranchers and all they do to bring a high-quality protein to the table.
