I was reminded today of Psalm 30:5 which says “Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes in the morning.” The analogy that is implying there will be sadness during hard times but perseverance will be rewarded when the conflict is over. David, who is referred to in Acts 13:22 as a “man after God’s own heart”, kept his eyes on the Lord. When times were difficult, he cried out to Him in frustration, and when God was faithful, he lifted his voice in praise. The darkness has come to divide, conquer, steal, destroy, harm families, and tear down nations, but let us remember that the devil must flee when you resist him in the name of Jesus Christ.

A mother has been charged in Charles Mix County in connection with the death of her 2-year-old son. Calarina Drapeaux, 27, has been charged with abuse or cruelty to a minor and two drug counts.

Winter is over and things are beginning to wake and come to life. We are blessed with four seasons in South Dakota, although some seasons feel harsher than others. The GHS Percussion Ensemble rolled out the xylophones for a rousing rendition of “Brazil” by Barroso. “Boot Scootin’ Betty,” performed by the GHS Clarinet Choir got some toes tapping in the audience.

The Gregory Athletics Club hosted the 29th annual East-West Shootout on Monday, March 21, 2022. The event features area high school seniors and gives them the chance to have a night of fun on the court playing together with friends, whom are sometimes rivals during the regular season.
