The regular meeting of the Gregory County Board of Commissioners was held at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at the Gregory County Courthouse. On the road again Travel requests were approved for county commissioners and officials to attend the annual convention in Rapid City, September 12-14, for Sheriff Tim Drey to attend an FBI NICS training in Pierre, September 14, and for Laura Kahler to attend the ETHICS SD trapping program in Pierre, September 20-21.

Gregory defeats Burke, improves record 2-1

The Gorillas improved their record to 2-1 on the season on Friday, September 3, with a 34-6 road win against the Burke Cougars in a hard fought physical contest. In the first quarter, Gregory scored first on a broken play with a heads-up 67 yard pass from Peck to Murray.

Gorilla cross country host invitational

The Gorilla cross county team participated in the Gregory Invitational meet on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. The meet consisted of 13 teams. Gregory had four runners in the varsity girls division. The girls finished in first as a team with 6 points followed by AC/DC with 15.

Know what to do when approaching a school bus with flashing lights

School is now in session, and that means that school buses are again on the roads. Because the safety of our students is very important, some drivers may need some instruction on the law regarding what to do if they come upon a bus with flashing lights.
